PropertyDNA

Director

PropertyDNA was a commercial property search portal aimed at small and medium businesses looking for space. I joined as Director, building the front and back end and running PPC and digital marketing across the lifecycle. The original site is gone, but a 2014 snapshot lives on archive.org. Here's how we described what we were trying to do at the time:

About PropertyDNA

Property DNA is no ordinary commercial property search website. It is owned and run by experienced property professionals who understand the relationship between Landlords, Tenants and Agents. We can therefore truly understand what occupiers are looking for and our goal is simply to enable occupiers to find the perfect commercial property for their business.

We work with the UK's leading commercial property Landlords and their letting Agents to ensure the site always has up to date properties on it as well as a good selection.

The Site was created to address the shortfalls of the incumbent property search process because, in our experience, small and medium businesses struggle to locate suitable properties when their requirements are expanding or contracting.

In addition, we felt that that prospective Tenants may sometimes find the commercial lettings process rather daunting and jargon-filled. We therefore wanted to bring more transparency to the industry and assist in de-mystifying this process — which is why in addition to the search functionality, the Site also includes lots of other useful features such as our Tenant's Advice Guide, with concise summaries of key topics, a glossary of lettings terminology, links to other relevant sources of information and lots more.

Our aim is to work in collaboration with the industry — Landlords, Agents, Service Providers and Suppliers — to provide an easy to use, information-rich portal.
